How it works
Homemade cookies, without the measuring
The difference between a flat cookie and a chewy one is in the proportions. Each jar holds a recipe Katherine tested batch after batch, with every dry ingredient already measured. You add a few fresh ones and bake.
Just add
A few fresh ingredients, like melted and cooled butter and an egg. The recipe card lists them for each flavor.
Mix
Whisk the fresh ingredients in a bowl, then pour in the whole jar and stir until a soft dough forms.
Chill
Just 10 minutes in the fridge (2 hours for gingerbread). The butter firms up, so the cookies hold their shape in the oven and keep a chewy center.
Bake
Scoop, bake as the card directs and pull them out while the centers are still soft. Then share them warm.
Every jar comes with its own recipe card, with the exact ingredients, chill time and bake time for that flavor.

Meet Katherine
The baker behind every jar
Katherine is 12, and Katherine's Cookie Jar is her business. Her family helps, but she tests the recipes, layers the jars and gets every gift ready to give.
Each recipe is baked again and again in her own kitchen until it delivers what she wants from a cookie: a chewy center, golden edges and a flavor worth sharing.

Good to know
Only a few fresh ingredients, usually melted and cooled butter, an egg and a little vanilla. Let the butter cool for a few minutes after melting, so it does not cook the egg when you mix them. The recipe card inside each jar lists the exact amounts for that flavor.
Each jar makes one full batch. The recipe card shows the exact yield for each flavor, so you know how many to expect before you start.
Store the closed jar in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight and heat. For the best results, bake within 3 months of the date on the label.
Melted butter makes a soft dough. Ten minutes in the fridge firms it up just enough to scoop easily, so the cookies spread less in the oven and come out thick, with a chewy center. That is short enough to preheat the oven while you wait. The Gingerbread Cut-Out Mix is the exception: it needs 2 hours, because a dough that gets rolled and cut has to be firm enough to keep the shape of the cutter.
Our mixes contain wheat, and most flavors contain milk and soy from the chocolate and candies. Every jar label lists the full ingredients and allergens, as Florida and federal labeling rules require. If you have a food allergy, please read the label before baking.

Yes, we deliver to Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, South Miami, Pinecrest and Palmetto Bay. Delivery is free on all gift sets and $5 on single jars. Orders are delivered within 3 days, Monday to Saturday, and we will email you to confirm the day and time. From November 1 to December 24, please allow up to 7 days. For the holidays, order by November 15 for Thanksgiving and by December 13 for Christmas. Orders outside these areas will be refunded.
Not at the moment. We sell locally, so every jar is handed over in person and arrives with its layers intact.
